What's been happening in Corringham Parish.
We are always busy in the parish
BINGO NIGHT
On Saturday 5th June over 50 people gathered for another of our Bingo Nights at St John's.
We gave away over £220 in prize money.
The evening included a raffle,
reverse bingo and
a "winner takes all" flyer.
As a result of peoples generosity £270 was added to church funds.

WALSINGHAM 2010
Forn Tuesday 1st June to

17 of us spent a week on pilgrimage and
retreat at the
Shrine of our Lady of Walshingam.
We had time to relax

CAKE SALE
On Saturday 15th May we held our first cake sale of the year, along with Tomato plants, books, and toys for sale.
The weather stayed fine and we raised approx £300 for church funds.
A huge thank you to everyone that made cakes, donated ingredients and that helped on the day.
GOOD FRIDAY
It turned out to be a Good Friday this Easter for the people of Corringham doing their shopping in the Town Centre as a group of us along with colleagues from the Baptist church once again gave away 500 Hot Cross Buns.

EASTER GARDEN
The young people of our Parish got together to make this yers Easter Garden. With plants, flowers, lots of soil, gravel and the empty tomb it looks excellent and is now at St Marys.

Parish Ball
On Saturday 21st February over 100 members of the the congregation along with family and friends attended our
Parish Ball at the Orsett Golf Club.
We were treated to a lovely meal including Beef Stroganof followed by Pancakes. Entertainment was provided for the evening by the wonderful talents of "Keep Together." The evening included a raffle, a £1 envelope donation lottery and a great deal of fun, fellowship and dancing.
A good night was had by all and £1000 was added to the Appeal Fund.
A huge thank you to everyone that attended or helped in any way to make this a night to remember.
