St John’s

S John's was built in 1958 to service the new town of Corringham. We have already undertaken a series of improvements to the church and hall at St John's. Already, we have installed new fire doors in the hall, new carpets in the entrance halls and decorated the entire interior. Also we have new windows and eventually we hope to overhaul our existing lavatory facilities.
We have a fully fitted and working kitchen which is used every week for our Lunch Club and regularly when we have our "Drop in for a Cuppa" mornings and other social gatherings.
Mass is celebrated here twice a week. Every Friday morning at 10.00am and also on Sundays at 8.00am. On the second Sunday of each month we have a rejoice service for the young and young at heart. We also run a Children's activity hour once a month on a Saturday Morning.

We have many different clubs and associations that use our facilities including a pre-school group, martial arts, brownies and a Darby & Joan club.
